There are a lot of creams, lotions and DIYs out there claiming to cure your cellulite. And while some of these methods can help reduce the appearance of cellulite, they can only do so much. External treatments are not going to make a real effect or give you smooth skin because cellulite is not a surface issue. There are connective bands woven throughout the fat in your body, and these bands will start to pull down on the surface of the skin. This pulling down causes the puckering and dimples that is Cellulite.
what about coffee scrubs?
Caffeine can help reduce the appearance of cellulite, but it is temporary. It helps shrink cells by dehydrating them. Coffee scrubs must be applied daily to keep up the effects. Similar to cellulite creams, these scrubs cannot address the underlying factors of cellulite because it’s an external treatment.
Tanning lotions are also often touted as a solution for your cellulite, but like the other creams, are unable to produce lasting results. Using a tanning lotion or getting a tan can help with the appearance of your cellulite. If your skin is darker it can make the cellulite less visible. This could be helpful for some forms of cellulite, like waves cellulite. It is less effective for camouflaging the dimple form of cellulite. Though, this camouflage is not a real solution and in order to keep up any results you see you have to continuously keep up with it. This can be time consuming, and overtime, the cost can add up, which is a lot of work for something that is unable to produce real results.
