What is Cellulaze?
Cellulaze is another popular cellulite treatment that also treats cellulite by focusing on the fibrous bands. Unlike Cellfina, Cellulaze uses a laser to disconnect the bands. Cellulaze inserts a laser probe into the skin through an incision. A typical treatment lasts between 1-2 hours, depending on the size of the area being treated. Your provider will numb you with a local anesthesia during the procedure.
It is suggested that you wear compression shorts after your treatment. Patients usually require a day or two of downtime before they are able to return to their everyday activity. Due to the use of a laser, slight burns are a risk of the treatment. You will see continued improvements 3-12 months after the procedure and the results may last for a year or more.
The FDA cleared Cellulaze in 2012 and the Cellfina in 2015. The technology used in the Cellfina device is newer and considered less invasive. Cellfina also has a lower cost and fewer risks associated with it.

Cellfina is a long-term cellulite solution that works! It is minimally invasive, and is an in-office procedure. The procedure takes approximately 45 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated. It does not require a general anesthesia, your provider will use a numbing agent instead.
